Responsibilities
- Perform building HVAC load calculations and system capacity analysis
- Plan HVAC system solutions, conduct scheme comparisons and technical evaluations
- Develop equipment specifications, selection, and brand evaluation
- Produce HVAC system design drawings (floor plans, system diagrams, detail drawings)
- Prepare construction specifications, material specification documents, and technical documentation
- Handle professional engineer certification and related submission documents
- Participate in design review meetings and coordinate interfaces with architects and other engineers
Qualifications
- Master's degree or above in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Mechanical Engineering, or Energy Engineering
- Must hold a Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Proficient in AutoCAD with independent drafting capabilities
- Familiar with ASHRAE standards and local building codes
- 3+ years of practical experience in HVAC system design

- Plan the implementation of smart controls and Energy Management Systems (EMS)
- Prepare energy audit reports and improvement recommendation documents

Qualifications

- Available at least 3 days per week (full-time during summer also accepted)
